Mexico

The country of Mexico is part of North America. It covers almost two million square kilometers (over 760,000 sq mi), and is located south of the United States of America.  It has the Pacific Ocean to the West and the Gulf of Mexico to the East. South of Mexico is Central America and the Gulf of California lies between the Baja Peninsula and mainland Mexico.

Mexico has many places’ to accommodate your vacation needs. Bordering the Caribbean Sea is Cancun, Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel. Scuba diving and beaches are what tourists come to these locations for. Cancun and Cozumel also contain ruins from the  Mayan civilization.

Bordering the Pacific Ocean in the North and known for its big game fishing is Mazatlan. Bordering the pacific ocean in the South is Puerta Vallarta, Ixtapa, and Acapulco.  Beautiful beaches and night life are what make these destination resorts.

Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula is Cabo San Lucas and San Jose De Los Cabos. Beautiful beaches, big game fishing, sea turtles laying eggs and whale watching are the main draws to these towns. From late December until mid march the gray whales, humpback whales and blue whales give birth to their young off the coast of Baja California’s sheltered lagoons. Gray whales and Humpback whales are what you can expect to see if you are in Cabo San Lucas. Sea lions can also be seen sunning themselves on the rocks close to the famous arch 365 days a year.

Of the eight species of turtles that exist in the world today, seven of them reproduce on Mexico coasts. Because of this, the Sea of Cortez and the Baja California Peninsula are home to five species of sea turtles.  Two of those five species nest on local beaches from June through February.  There’s approximately a two month incubation period, so eggs should start hatching in August.

Of the eight species that exist today, many of them are in danger of becoming extinct. Because of this, there are many programs that help release sea turtles into the ocean. Please check the internet for further information on how you can be a part of this.

There’s also a party for Sammy Hagar’s birthday every year in October.  Every year, Sammy comes to Cabo San Lucas with some of his friends. They give a special concert at a bar he owns called Cabo Wabo. They usually offer 4 shows with a variety of Sammy’s friends performing. Many guest appearances happen too.  There’s a lottery you can register that might allow you to purchase tickets, or you can take your chance on a limited number that will be sold at the venue the night of the performance.

An Introduction

Timeshare Alley Logo – LILI, China

Hello everyone and welcome to the first installment of the Timeshare Alley travel and tourism blog.  I’ve been traveling the world for the past eleven years and have lived in America, Mexico, Thailand, China, and Australia. I’m presently living in China.

I’ve been able to accomplish this feat by working in the timeshare industry. I was first introduced to timeshare in 1980 and it’s been my career ever since.

I’ll be sharing some of the stories and experiences I’ve had living and working in these countries. If you decide to visit them, I’ll try to shed a little light on the cultural differences and give you some things to be aware of, so your vacation is the best it can be. Being a writer and author of two books as well as writing sales training for multiple companies, there might even be a few surprises along the way.

I’ll also be sharing stories of some of the companies I’ve worked for along the way. These companies include Wyndham, Hilton, and many small and large companies around the world. This will give you some insight as to what this industry is and how it operates from the inside.

We hope you enjoy this blog and take your time reading what we have to offer. Some of the stories will be told from a humorous side while most will be about places you can visit.  Still, others will be of resorts you have the opportunities to stay in or the things you can do once you’re there.
